As Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women prepares for its Centennial celebration and enters a comprehensive philanthropic campaign, the Major Gift Officer will play a critical role in expanding the school's culture of philanthropy and advancing major and campaign giving. The Major Gift Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors, with a particular focus on building a robust pipeline of philanthropic support for all of Mercy's fundraising priority areas.

This position will manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving, major giving, planned giving, and campaign prospects, working closely with the Vice President of Development, school leadership, volunteers, and campaign leadership to secure transformational support for Mercy's mission and future.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience in major gifts, advancement, fundraising, or campaign preparation preferred • Demonstrated success in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts
• Experience managing donor portfolios and achieving fundraising goals
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and project management skills
• Experience with donor databases and prospect research tools preferred
• Mission alignment with Mercy education and the advancement of women's leadership.
